A woman goes to Italy to attend a 2-week, company training session.Her husband drives her to the airport and wishes her to have a goodtrip.
The wife answers : "Thank you honey, what would you like me to bring for you?"
The husband laughs and says: "An Italian girl !!!"
The woman kept quiet and left.
Two weeks later he picks her up in the airport and asks: "So, honey, howwas the trip?""Very good, thank you."
"And, what happened to my present?"
"Which present?" She asked.

confusions rule the world of words. because words are to be interpretted to make meanings. if i say A, someone else may assume it to be Z. if i say it indirectly, it can be misunderstood. if i say it for X, Y thinks it is for him.
it is the tragedy of language.
how i wish, we were just blessed with the faculty of feeling the right - intended meaning.
it takes a lot of courage to keep the faith, trust for someone when all that words (even actions)could point otherwise
i have been through this so many times,,, with dear friends, folks, ....

i remember him for his 'typical moustache'
everyone remebered him as that
i also remebered him because he would distribute sweets/candies to all the children, and would almost always give to grown ups too
i remebered him because he would go round the whole lenghth of the train, making it all such a collective and jouyous ocassion

i do feel that in a way i am being unfair- or am i?
but this time i have to take a stand which is in MY favour.
i dont want to get into any lafda as of now.
i am too happy to be this way
i remember what namita ranganathan once mentioned in MH class. infact i was the only one who took that stand and while the whole class looked at me with expressions of disbelief, namita did come out openly in my support. ....
after a while, if it begins to take a toll on you- step back. this is the best i can do. i have to realize the worth of all things and their stability.

what buggs me

i care for others, continue to do so even when i am hurt because of them. it buggs me because i am not able to love for loving sake. why do i expect returns.
i know the day i can really love and not expect the other person to respond it would stop hurting.
it is simple actually- i love because i like to but what i should guard against is the parallel desire to be loved back. now why should that be? hmm mmm then this is not pure love as yet.
